Personal Growth Plan Ideas

Personal Growth Plan Ideas and accomplishment is knowing your purpose in life. But there’s more to it than that; there are people who know their purpose in life but they’re still not successful. People need a personal growth plan to help them reach their maximum potential and fulfill God’s plan for their life. It’s not only knowing what they should do; it’s about growing in that area to the make best use of and highlight the things that they do well. That’s continual personal growth.

Personal Growth Plan Ideas

Personal growth is not an involuntary process. If growth is going to happen, it needs to be intentional. Having a personal growth plan will change a person’s life.

The only way people will continue to learn and grow is to make a commitment to it. Very successful people have a constant longing for information and are always asking questions and seeking solutions. Successful people set goals with timelines, wake up early each morning and take action steps.

What is done today determines success tomorrow and years to come. Success isn’t a secret. It’s both possible and attainable for everybody, but it’s going to start with this declaration: The secret of success is determined by a daily routine, by what is done -today.

I believe this important principle connects so much to purpose that I wrote a book about it entitled, Pursing Your Purpose, and in the book, I write about how important living a life of purpose is.

Every day people are either restoring or preparing. Every day people are either trying to fix yesterday- relationships, issues, priorities, lost opportunities or they are living their life in such a way that they are preparing for tomorrow and setting up a daily success routine is almost a given.

Highly successful people know their purpose in life, they grow to their full potential and they plant seeds that help others. They don’t live for themselves. They’re a waterway, not a reservoir. They know what significance is. The significance is adding value to other people’s lives.

The road to a person becoming their best, most successful self can feel challenging at times and it can take a lot out of them. There will be periods of weariness and discouragement and wanting to give up. It is important to believe success is possible because as a person continues on their journey, they will eventually embark upon those moments, however, having a personal development plan will help a person stay on track to live a life of power, purpose, and victory.

Your Mindset Your Business

The Most Important Part of Your Entrepreneur Journey;, Your Mindset Your Business…

Do you find yourself waking up and feeling like there is more to life than just the same old routine? Do you yearn to learn something new? Do you fall in the small percent that is considering starting an online business? If you answered 1 or all 3 of these questions with a resounding YES, this post was written with you in mind.Your Mindset Your Business I recently decided to take this new project on a few months ago and wow has it been an adventure. I have had moments of frustration, expensive mistakes, disappointments and lots of reading. I have to say it has all been worth it!!! Now granted like I stated earlier, I am very new to this industry. The biggest GIFT I have found in this journey has been a foundation. Foundation??? I am sure you are asking yourself, what foundation and how? Well let me explain; when I started out I knew one thing and that was that I knew nothing. So reading, listening and watching I began from search engine to youtube and other blogs. During this time I stumbled across the infamous personal development guru Bob Proctor. This is where my journey really started, not the expected online business information.

Your Mindset Your Business I began listening to Bob Proctor every morning, which led to affirmation meditation, motivational speakers like Les Brown, Oprah Winfrey, hertz level music, and soooooo much more. In this creative space, I learned the foundation of business, mindset. What is mindset? This is the state of mind you are; are you positive? Disheartened? Mad? Encouraging? Happy? All of these and all other emotions matter. What you think and believe in matter, why you ask because you become what you think. Great writers like James Allen, wrote AS A MAN THINKETH shared this secret long ago. The reading is in Old English, which can be (at least for me) uninteresting to read but has some golden nuggets for all entrepreneurs. I also started read 10 pages a day to open my mind to wisdom and ideas. I dove right into “The Magic of Thinking Big” a great book!!!! Easy to read and full of information, I confess I read this book twice!

To recap, reading 10 pages a day and focusing on your mindset is the foundation of entrepreneurship. I hope this helped to not only expose but motivate you! Now you have to take the step and seek what works for you, I can only share a small piece of my journey. You must take the steps and look for what you are attracted and what will mold you to be a better you.

My Genuine Business Journey…

My genuine business journey,

So far in my business journey, I have been in the affiliate marketing business for 3 months and I have to be very honest, I have not been successful. It is not as easy as they make it seem, it is not hard, it is time-consuming and there is a HUGE learning curve! Therefore leads me to many walls and new challenges.

Now that I have gotten that off my chest, which feels amazing!!!! Thank you for listening…. reading… Now I could just call it quits and give up (what I am used to doing when things get hard). But I am here to say I REFUSE to give up, I plan to keep learning and keep striving. The content of my page will change a little bit. Before I was writing a well thought out article and it felt so stiff and felt like I was going to a 9-5 job and I did not like doing it. Now I love writing and sharing my thoughts, so I am choosing today to run my business a little more genuine and with a touch of me.

In my genuine business journey movingg forward, I will be sharing my daily struggles, challenges, obstacles any new techniques I learn and failures/successes and how I learned to get out of it. These stories will be from my everyday life experiences and journey towards becoming a successful entrepreneur. I am here to share my journey in hopes of helping others on theirs.

I hope you enjoy My genuine business journey

Fears You Can Overcome

There are fears you can overcome during your journey.

To step out on faith with no guidance or direction only faith is the pure beauty of entrepreneurship. There is no right way to reach your perception of success, it is your journey you must find what works for you.

Listen and follow those who have gone through the trenches but always follow your gut and what works for you. Only you will know, so be in tune with your being.

The journey of an entrepreneur is not any easy path, sometimes there is no path and it must be created. This alone is a fear, along with many others. I am going to share with my path, my journey and I hope you are able to learn and create your journey and path. The best is yet to come!!!

These were and sometimes are the fears I continue to overcome on my entrepreneurial path. Fears You Can Overcome:

1. Failure: I was terrified of failing on something I didn’t even know how to start. I could not see what lessons there are to be learned. New Thinking: The only failure I can not grow from is staying in a job I am not happy with giving so much of myself and not being paid what my service is worth. I will learn from my failures and grow from them to make me a better person tomorrow.

2. Inadequacy: I had no business education, I did not have anyone in my circle who even wanted to work for themselves and live a non-conforming life. New Thinking: I will dedicate time to learning, I started to seek, ask and eventually found and continue finding as long as I continue asking and searching.

3. Poverty: I was scared of being more broke than I already was and not being able to live the life I wanted to. New Thinking: I am not my current situation this is only part of my journey my goal is worth my current poverty but it is not forever. I reinvested every dime into my business and focused on my goals and dreams.

4. Humiliation: I had to move in with my parents because I was laid off from my job at the age of 37. I felt like I would be ridiculed by many behind my back. New Thinking: I started listening to positive audio, watched positive and motivational videos on youtube I read positive, leadership and motivational books. I told very few my goals, plans, and visions I shared only with those who supported me.

5. Separation: I had the fear of losing everything and everyone because I was so focused on my path to success. New Thinking: Those who are around supporting me, lifting me up and praising me are the only ones that matter.

6. Success: With more success comes more responsibility. I was scared of the “what if’s” and will I be able to handle them. New Thinking: I remind myself of all the small things I did not know how I would accomplish and I figured a way to reach them and sometimes create them.

You are the highest creation of the universe. Everything you need to reach your goals are within you! Go out and conquer your fears! Say to yourself Fears You Can Overcome!!!!

Why Your Why Is Important

Why Your Why Is Important? A question for you entrepreneurs…

The first time I heard this phrase, I did not understand the true meaning behind it until I started my own business. Simon Simek breaks it down very well in the video below: Why your “why” is so important to two simple yet complex biological reasons.

NeoCortex which is control of our rational thought, analytical thought, and language

Limbic System which controls our emotions/”feelings” some examples are; trust and loyalty and ALL of our behavior.

He continues to explain what is called the “Golden Circle” which consists of WHY, HOW, WHAT.

undefined

Simon continues to break it down from two forms of communication:

From the outside in is when people are given features, figures, and facts; which does not evoke any behavior only reason.

From the Inside out Talking directly to the part of the brain that controls behavior, which allows the person to rationalize it with the tangible things we say and do. This is where the Gut Decision comes from.

Why Your Why Is Important: This explains the phenomenon of “it just doesn’t feel right”!

This is the golden nugget for you entrepreneur! What you do simply serves as the proof of what you believe, money is only a result, a byproduct of your combined effort and belief. Those who start with a why inspire those around them and/or find others to inspire them.

ENJOY, LEARN, TEACH, INSPIRE

Why Your Why Is Important!!!

Best Daily Habits

Best Daily Habits

Have you ever looked at successful people (no matter their chosen mastery) how did you get there? Was your journey hard? How can you do it? All these questions come to mind which over time turn into excuses and judgments toward yourself because you are not where they are. First and foremost, you are living YOUR journey NOT theirs. Second, you CAN do anything you want to do. Is it simple YES, any decision is…. now is it EASY NO NO NO NO! If you want change, YOU MUST be willing to change.

Brian Tracy is an international speak and in the video below he gives us a large part of the key to success broken down in 6 best daily habits.

1. Goal Setting

2. Be Result Oriented

3. Be People Oriented

4. Be Healthy Oriented

5. Be Honest

6. Sel Discipline

Best Daily Habits

All of these goals are super important so let’s break them down. Starting with Goal Setting, when you sit down to write down some goal it best to start with a BIG goal. Example buy a house. Then break down small goals. Example daily, weekly monthly goals that are congruent with your overall goal.

Being results oriented is where true leadership begins. This is when you have several goals within a day or within a specific time period and you break down to goals that can be achieved right now.

Being people oriented is VERY important, especially in this day and age. We must understand and embrace that everything we do stems from working with, learning from and needing others.

Healthy living – physically and mentally, this is a must every day (exercise and a combination of audio and reading.

Stay honest will keep you sane and mentally healthy. This pertains both to your personal life and professional life.

The most imperative or rather equally most important with healthy living is self-discipline. This is the ability to make yourself do IT when you should do IT even when you do not want to do IT. This is where your why is important… hint hint tomorrow’s topic 🙂

And those my seeking enterpreneurs those are t

Fear Of Negative Opinion

FEAR OF NEGATIVE OPINION or fear of anything… I was walking my dog this morning, when transitioning from one street to the next I felt her pulling away from me. In the distance, I hear a car coming up the road and pull her towards the edge of the road and she still pulls away with force. For about half a second I am thinking she is being defiant. When I pay attention to her actions, she is trying to get away from the sewer drain.

After reading you may say to yourself, ok so your dog is scared of sewers. I like to take an everyday situation and turn them into life lessons. My dog was so focused on what she feared that she did not see the car coming that could have very well hurt her. Could have the sewer hurt her, no! It could have slowed her down in her paw fell through the holes, but in all honesty, nothing else would happen.

FEAR OF NEGATIVE OPINION

We like my dog, we can find ourselves so focused on what we fear can hurt us that we are blinded by the direction we are heading. Those things we fear most, are or rather FEEL real, but are only illusions in our majestic minds. If you fear it, approach it, one step at a time and one day you will realize you have conquered what you once feared.

FEAR OF NEGATIVE OPINION

Never Stop Learning Because Life Never Stops Teaching

Never Stop Learning Because Life Never Stops Teaching

How many people have a memory seared into their brains of one particular mistake made in school or on the job that was simply so mortifying that they never, ever, ever made that same mistake again? In other words, they learned the hard way but they really learned that lesson. For life.

I was listening to an interview last week with Reshma Saujani, founder of Girls Who Code, in which she was discussing her inspiration for starting the non-profit organization. In short, she was galvanized by the disparity she saw between the way girls and boys were taught to approach risk and potential failure throughout childhood and adolescence. She saw girls being encouraged to strive for perfection, therefore making them less likely to seek out new challenges or activities at which they might fail. She felt that coding, an endeavor that could easily be described as a never-ending series of tweaks, mini-failures, and fixes, was not only a valuable way to “re-train” this failure avoidance in young girls, but also an important step in closing the gender gap in the technology field.

This got me thinking about mistake-driven learning and the importance of having the freedom to safely fail in education. In his recent article, 7 Benefits of Mistake-driven Learning, Christopher Pappas advocates for its advantages in reinforcing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, higher-level learning capacity, and the key role that trial & error + solution reformulation plays in boosting knowledge retention and comprehension. He makes the case that creating an eLearning environment where students are safe to explore consequences to their actions, and then revise their approach based on individual outcomes, is crucial to preparing them for success in the real world.

Never Stop Learning Because Life Never Stops Teaching

In another write-up, the same author talks even more specifically about the benefits of applying Repair Theory, which explains the fundamental role of mistakes in procedure-based learning, to the eLearning design process. By implementing realistic simulations, branching scenarios, and real-time, personalized feedback for eLearners, it is possible to create a learning environment in which students are not only safe to fail and learn from their mistakes but one that also provides contextual layers upon which the learner is able to apply new their knowledge.

One of my recent projects involved the development of online scenario-based case studies for students in health sciences programs. Talk about a field in which rote memorization of processes and procedures will just not cut it! For students in these programs, a thorough understanding built upon a scaffolding of contextual knowledge and interconnected concepts is critical. And so the instructional design of these online cases must create an ecosystem in which the students can immerse themselves in scenarios, use critical thinking skills to make interlinked decisions, and learn from their own mistakes in a safe online environment.

The idea that we learn most effectively from real experience and from our mistakes is applicable in education and in business because it is so deeply rooted in human behavior. No one wants to make mistakes and we all (at some point) shy away from the possibility of failure. But how much better would we be if we could let go of that limiting fear, allow ourselves to be brave enough to try new things and test uncharted waters, in order to then fail fast and become better?

Many of us were raised to base our identity on helping or fixing others. Fixing others is often the addiction of choice for people who have a naturally deep level of empathy and who easily feel others’ pain.

This was one of my major addictions for many years. Deeply feeling my parents’ pain and the pain of others around me was unbearable to me as a child. I thought that if only I could make them happy then I wouldn’t have to feel their pain.

Leslie is struggling with this very issue:

“I am completely attached and addicted to trying to help my sister. I can see now that my health and chronic pain is very much linked to hers – not wanting to be better/healthier than her for fear of rejection abandonment and criticism. If you have any words on how to release the habit of obsessing over others problems and the need to “fix it” before I can be happy and free, would be greatly appreciated.”

Leslie, as I discovered with myself when I started to practice my inner work process, the fear of rejection, abandonment and criticism comes from rejecting, abandoning and criticizing yourself. You are making your sister responsible for whether or not you are okay, which means that you are making her responsible for your feelings. As you learn and practice doing inner work and learn to take loving care of yourself, you will naturally be able to let go of your addiction to fixing her.

undefined

You not only have the right to be happy and free, you also have the responsibility for creating your own happiness and freedom, instead of making your sister responsible for this. As you diligently practice the inner work process and develop your loving adult self and your spiritual connection, you will gradually have an easier time focusing on what you need rather than on what she needs.

Trying to fix her has nothing to do with loving yourself or with loving her. In fact, trying to fix her is very controlling. It took me a long time to understand that fixing others is a form of control, but once I understood this and accepted that my responsibility is to love myself and share my love with others, I was able to let go of fixing.

Sharon has a similar issue:

“How do you conquer unhealthy attachments, or rather, if you had become attached because of fear of abandonment or desire to “fix” (both co-dependent traits), how do you help break those ties and find self love and self trust again? When you are always thinking about the “other” person/breakup/past issues, it is hard to live in the moment and not be overwhelmed with worry, sadness or anxiety.”

Sharon, as an adult, the fear of abandonment comes from self-abandonment – such as judging yourself, staying in your head and ignoring your feelings, turning to addictions, and making others responsible for your feelings. Your worry, sadness and anxiety are telling you that you are abandoning yourself. Self-abandonment comes from the intent to control others and avoid your own feelings, and this is what leads to unhealthy attachments and trying to fix others. As long as you don’t have a strong inner connection with your feeling self – your inner child – and with a personal source of love and wisdom, you will continue to attach to others in unhealthy ways. Like Leslie, you need to learn to love yourself by learning and practicing the inner work healing process.

You CAN heal a ‘fixing others’ addiction by focusing on learning to love yourself rather than continuing to abandon yourself. If I can do it, so can you!

Healthy Competition With Yourself

Healthy Competition With Yourself

Life is not a competition, it never is, it never was, rather it’s a beautiful journey. Whom we are competing with and what for? Is it ourselves we are trying to compete with or with other people? We compete when we come across same traits, and then we try to win, to be the best, but what for; to satisfy ourselves or to satisfy other people who wants us to win? I tried to dig more by considering two scenarios, i.e., competition with ourselves and with other people.

Competition with ourselves: There is a difference between improvement and competition, but the line between them is so thin, that we often take improvement as competition. How can a same person have two similar traits? For example, if one is good at studies, how can he be good at studies “again”; he just improves his forte. Similarly, if one is good at any sport, lets say soccer, how can he compete himself in the same trait; he just works hard to enhance his skills, to satisfy himself or to satisfy his soul. (there are several other similar examples, try reasoning yourself). Therefore, we don’t compete with ourselves, we just keep on upgrading our better version.

Healthy Competition With Yourself

Compete with other people: Two different people can have a same trait or similar qualification or two or more people can excel the same thing. We, compete with the people having similar traits as ours, to win, to be the best. Has anyone ever heard someone saying that, he want to compete only to lose? We compete, only in an attempt to win, just to show that “I am better than you” and when “I” comes, our ego comes along with it. Sometimes, actually many a time, when we start to lose and in order to win, in order to satisfy and feed our ego, we start imitating other’s USP or method and that’s where, when we start to lose “our” originality. We forget that by losing our originality, we can win once or twice by chance/luck, but, we can never be a true winner and it’s actually a lost. So, what’s the point of having a competition if it ruins our originality, or if we cannot be true ourselves or a true winner. If our success or failure doesn’t affect or bother us, then we are actually not competing with anyone, we are just practicing with other people to improve, to upgrade a better version and to satisfy ourself. Anything more than satisfying ourself or getting peace is worthless and temporary.

Don’t try to win because someone wants you to win, as it will be for them and you will never find peace; win by being true self, for yourself without any competition as it will give you eternal peace. Do what you feel like, what makes you happy, what makes you peace with.

Healthy Competition With Yourself
