My mountain, My Challenge…

This New Hampshire trip couldn’t come any faster, though I had no clue what I was getting myself into. My focus was on an opportunity to get out of my daily routine for a few days. After driving a decent 3.5 hours from Connecticut to New Hampshire (a beautiful drive I may add) we arrived at our destination, a massive house with an even bigger view. It was almost 20 of us so space was very much needed.

It was a Friday night after organizing our things and claiming sleeping arrangements the cooking, drinking, and eating began.  It was refreshing to be around the family with lots of laughs and love. The night progressed with more laughter and eager planning for tomorrows adventure, climbing the mountain. By midnight we all had gone off to rest as we finally made the decision to climb the mountain the following day.

Early morning risers like myself were up and enjoying a cup of coffee or tea. The sunrise was not seen because of the clouds, either way, the view was breathtaking. I felt like I was staring into an infinite tree line, and I felt small but a part of the bigger picture. Almost the same feeling I feel when I am in front of the oceans greatness. After breakfast and personal preparation off, we went to tread the unknown charters of Cannon Mountain.

The entire 20 min ride I was a blur of emotions, at the moment I was unsure as to why but in retrospect, I understood my silence. It has only been a few months since I started working out “hard” and building muscle, so I was fearful of lack of stamina and strength. When we arrived at this majestic hill the walk from the parking lot to the start was short and boy was this mountain unforgiving. We were welcomed with natural steps of rocks and stones, I had climbed and gone hiking before but never “up” a mountain. Off I went slow and steady wins the race, I do not give up, I am a champion, I finish what I start; these were all the things I recited to myself to motivate my spirit. Because once you started going up there was no turning around.

I have left out the fact that part of the group included my uncles who are into their 70’s. I, of course, was there to help them, here is where my lesson starts. During difficult and challenging steps I slowed down, offered my hand for support, my words for guidance and my steps for mentoring. There were many times after offering one or all of these options my uncle would just say no I need to do it alone, by myself. At first, I was like ok and continued to look back just in case. At that moment I realized what I had done wrong in many in not all of my relationships, I was codependent. I was so concerned with “making sure” other were ok when in reality I was trying to control them and the situation. I was not able to allow myself nor the other to grow into their wings because I was always up under them.

This climb was one of the biggest physical challenges and also a life-changing moment. A reminder of the importance of being an individual in all of your relationships, romantic or plutonic. The importance of leaning on your own strength and giving others the space to find and lean on their own strength.

Mindful and Aware

The Law of Attraction and Being Mindful and Aware

Are you practicing being mindful and aware? Have you ever attended a special event, let say your child’s kindergarten graduation and you are physically there but your mind is wondering either in the past or preparing for the future. The Law of Attraction tells us about desire and Law of Vibration. But it leaves out the power of being Mindful and aware.

What is being mindful and aware?

Being mindful and aware is the beautiful art of being present in the right now or like the book The Power of Now. This is when you are fully aware and paying attention to every detail, feeling, thought, sound, color, taste. You are actively listening to learn and now just listening to respond. You are taking everything in and just enjoying the now.

If you find your thoughts getting away from you and stressing about the past or getting nervous about the future. Ground yourself, take a deep breath and exhale (repeat several times) then start paying attention to your senses. What do you smell, what do you hear, what do you feel, what do you taste? This little trick will bring your back to being mindful and aware.

When you take the time to enjoy the now you embrace gratitude, you tend to look at all of the positive things around you. And as promised, the law of attraction rolls in and continues to provide you with those thoughts and feelings of gratitude.

Present moment and Perception

Where are you right now in the day, on your journey, in life? How do you see your present situation, as a glass half full or a glass half empty? It is very important not only to live in the right now, embrace your right now and see the silver lining in it. Make sure during your present moment to ground yourself and be mindful and aware.

Law of Attraction and Desires

What is it that you want? How bad do you want it? Why do you want it? What will you do to get it? Can you see yourself having it? These questions are all part of the secret formula to creating your desired life. If you want something with a burning desire would you go through good times and bad times for it? Now the missing piece here is during those coal walking moments are your present and grateful for your lesson in the making?

The here and now, being present, being mindful and aware, being grateful, having a burning desire and seeing yourself with what you desire are all parts of The Secret and the law of attraction.

Like the old saying says, take the time to smell the roses.

Nothing Rests everything moves

The Law of Attraction and The Law of Vibration

Nothing Rests everything moves. In the book and movie of The Secret, they shared a lot of amazing information that got the world wanting to know more about the unknown laws of the Universe. They left out a few details that can make a huge difference on how the Law of Attraction works and how it is implemented.

The first and most important piece of knowledge is The Law of Vibration. This law pretty much states nothing ever is a rest, everything has a frequency that it vibrates at. Some vibrate high and others very low, what is even more important is that our thoughts also have frequency and also vibrate. Have you ever stepped into a room and just felt like something was “off”? That is your body responding to a frequency that does not match yours. Have you ever felt down and someone or something comes to mind and you feel better, happier and with hope? That is your body responding to the frequency of your thoughts.

Nothing rests everything moves

This Universal Law states that everything in the Universe moves and vibrates – everything is vibrating at one speed or another. Nothing rests. Everything you see around you is vibrating at one frequency or another and so are you. However your frequency is different from other things in the universe – hence it seems like you are separated from what you see around you – people, animals, plants, trees and so on. BUT you are not separated – you are in fact living in an ocean of energy – we all are. We are all connected at the lowest level – a level professor John Hagelin calls the unified field.

Everything has its own vibrational frequency – the table – the car – the picture frame – the rock – even our thoughts and feelings. It is all governed by The Law of Vibration.

Nothing Rests Everything Moves

A table may look solid and still, but within the table are millions of millions of subatomic particles “running around” and “popping” with energy. The table is pure energy and movement. Everything in this universe has its own vibrational frequency. It is The Law of Vibration in action. However, we can’t see it so it appears separate and solid to us. It is actually an illusion.

The Law of Vibration is real. Even if you can’t see it it does not mean that it is not true.

Your thoughts become words and words become things….

Now that you understand the Law of Vibration and how it correlates with The Secret and The Law of Attraction. You can see how imperative it is to understand how the law of vibration and how your thoughts carry a frequency that can either block or embrace your desires and the law of attraction.

Keep track of your thoughts and make sure you are emoting frequencies of love and positivity. Because Nothing Rests Everything Moves

The Law of Attraction – The subconscious mind

There has been a lot of talk about The Law of Attraction ever since The Secret came into our lives. I personally loved and practiced it, but I, like many, failed even with the small stuff. I started digging as to why and oh boy has that lead me to new life. Before we can go any deeper into the law of attraction we must learn about the subconscious mind.

The Subconscious Mind

This is the place where all of your thoughts and experiences are stored. This amazing roldex of information is where perception, imagination, our voice, gut feeling, higher power and spiritual connection live. This powerful machine begins establishing compiling concepts, rules, does and don’ts, laws (expectations) of society, family and religion at birth and does not stop until death.

The subconscious is a constant soaking sponge; hence why old saying’s such as; be careful little ears what you hear, be careful little eye’s what you see exist. How Does The Subconscious Mind Work

This is the question that stumps humanity, for now there is much effort in exploring this subject.

The subconscious mind acts as the translator to the conscious mind. It is given commands by the conscious mind and fulfills those commands with ease. The subconscious mind is also referred to as the go-between between the conscious and superconscious mind.

In order to program your mind to do what you want it to do, you first have to understand the subconscious mind and how it works, or you won’t know how to program the mind. You must learn how to control the subconscious mind so you can learn how to reprogram it. Only then will you have the ability to achieve personal development and reach the empowerment that only your mind can give you. Once you reach this plateau, you will be able to command anyone and get anything you want. Only then will you have fulfilled your dreams of living your life to the fullest. And what is so special about the procedure is that it really does not take long to perform the exercises you need to gain control and reprogram the subconscious mind.

Developing your understanding of the power of the mind starts with knowing two laws or principles. These two laws are The Law of Vibration and The Law of Attraction. If you are unfamiliar with these laws they will be covered in the next blog. Just know before these two laws are discussed, that when you understand these two laws and how they apply to the subconscious mind, you will begin to see how powerful the mind really is.

The Most Important Part of Your Entrepreneur Journey;, Your Mindset Your Business…

Do you find yourself waking up and feeling like there is more to life than just the same old routine? Do you yearn to learn something new? Your Mindset Your Business I began listening to Bob Proctor every morning, which led to affirmation meditation, motivational speakers like Les Brown, Oprah Winfrey, hertz level music, and soooooo much more. In this creative space, I learned the foundation of business, mindset. What is mindset? This is the state of mind you are; are you positive? Disheartened? Mad? Encouraging? Happy? All of these and all other emotions matter. What you think and believe in matter, why you ask because you become what you think. Great writers like James Allen, wrote AS A MAN THINKETH shared this secret long ago. The reading is in Old English, which can be (at least for me) uninteresting to read but has some golden nuggets for all entrepreneurs. I also started read 10 pages a day to open my mind to wisdom and ideas. I dove right into “The Magic of Thinking Big” a great book!!!! Easy to read and full of information, I confess I read this book twice!

To recap, reading 10 pages a day and focusing on your mindset is the foundation of entrepreneurship. I hope this helped to not only expose but motivate you! Now you have to take the step and seek what works for you, I can only share a small piece of my journey. You must take the steps and look for what you are attracted and what will mold you to be a better you.

My Genuine Business Journey…

My genuine business journey,

So far in my business journey, I have been in the affiliate marketing business for 3 months and I have to be very honest, I have not been successful. It is not as easy as they make it seem, it is not hard, it is time-consuming and there is a HUGE learning curve! Therefore leads me to many walls and new challenges.

Now that I have gotten that off my chest, which feels amazing!!!! Thank you for listening…. reading… Now I could just call it quits and give up (what I am used to doing when things get hard). But I am here to say I REFUSE to give up, I plan to keep learning and keep striving. The content of my page will change a little bit. Before I was writing a well thought out article and it felt so stiff and felt like I was going to a 9-5 job and I did not like doing it. Now I love writing and sharing my thoughts, so I am choosing today to run my business a little more genuine and with a touch of me.

It has been told by many, especially by inspirational speakers, that there is nothing good into looking to the past or focus too much on it. What happened yesterday has already happened and nothing you can do to change that. Look forward and everything should go as planned. However, this statement can be somewhat contradictory to what I am about to say. How can you measure your accomplishment if you do not look into the past and see where you started from? How can you determine your level of success today as to where you were yesterday, or 6 months ago? How can you move forward in life without a clear path into your future? As an entrepreneur, before you start any business, you need to create yourself a business plan right? You write down the key elements to create yourself a path on how you want to build your business. You write about your strength, your weaknesses, opportunities and threats and add some marketing plan into it as well. Now, 6 months into the future, you read back your business plan to see if you are on the right track or if something needs to be changed because of unforeseen situations that occurred. Isn’t that looking into the path to direct you into the future? Aren’t you focusing on something that was already done to provide you with ideas on a distant future that hasn’t happened yet?

The same goes with the stock market. Investors and brokers look into historical data to predict the future outcome of a specific stock. They look into a past that has happened to create a slim possibility of how the future of this stock can behave. So let me ask you, which is right? Looking into the past to predict the future or forgetting the past and create your own future? The choice is yours. Do whatever you need to do to direct yourself a clear path into your future. Let’s face it, it is yours and no one else right? Personally, I like to see where I am headed by looking on how it all started a few years back. That allows me to stay motivated and to move forward NO MATTER what.

Positive Affirmations Can Change Your Life

The dictionary defines affirmations as, “statements, which affirm something to be true.” In simple terms, positive affirmations are positive phrases, which you repeat to yourself and which describe how you want to be.

The theory of this practice dictates that when you repeat affirmations as if they were already a reality (when they are not) the message seeps deep into the subconscious mind, so you really start to believe them, and eventually they will become your reality. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

At first, you should state the phrase(s) intentionally, to counter any negative thoughts that creep into your mind. Over time, the phrases should occur naturally, without you having to intentionally think about them. At this point, the phrases become part of your subconscious, part of your very mentality, which has a tremendous effect on your life and wellbeing.

How To Use Positive Affirmations

Select affirmation phrases that are only 4-5 words long so that you won’t forget them. Make them present, positive, and personal.

In staying present, use “I am… ” instead of “I will be… ”

In staying positive, make sure the phrase is uplifting. Examples could be “I like my artistic side” and “I am successful” and “I love myself.”

Lastly, in staying personal, use phrases whenever possible that directly apply to your unique skills and qualities.

For example, “I paint landscapes beautifully” and “I organize my time well.”

It is best to only pick 1-3 phrases that you can really focus on per day, because you should be repeating the same phrase to yourself repeatedly.

The phrase(s) should be related to anything particular that you are struggling with that day or doubting yourself about. The phrase(s) may not change for days or weeks at a time, until you are able to truly believe them and they become one with your subconscious.

The best time to use the affirmations is when you are not busy with other tasks. Spend 5-10 minutes repeating the phrase(s) to yourself, either mentally or out loud if no one is around you. Do this first thing in the morning and multiple times during the day, as you are able.

Make it a habit to also say them as you are trying to fall asleep. Make sure you are relaxed when you begin. Try taking deep breaths before you start, and concentrate on the words as you are saying them.

Go one-step further and visualize the phrase in your mind as you say it. This helps to integrate the phrase into your subconscious.

How Positive Affirmations Affect Your Wellbeing

Research shows that positive affirmations improve your well-being. Specifically, positive affirmations can do the following things in your life:

Build Your Confidence – As the positive phrases become implanted in your subconscious, you will come to think more highly of yourself and your self-esteem and confidence will grow.

Empower You To Accomplish Your Goals – As your confidence grows, you will trust more in your capabilities and be able to successfully reach your goals. The visualization technique previously mentioned helps with this too, because if you envision what your life looks like when you have obtained a specific goal, then it will be easier to motivate yourself to work towards it. One great example of this is weight loss, as studies have shown affirmations to have positive effect on success in people losing weight versus subjects who did not employ the technique.

Lead To Prosperity – You will find yourself more successful in your career, in your relationships and in your personal life when you live life with a positive mentality.

Positive Affirmations Can Change Your Life

Lead To Romance – Whether you have long doubted your abilities to sweep another person off their feet, or you have been in a relationship that you view as mediocre, this will all change with a new attitude. When the positive affirmations change your mentality, which changes your outlook on life, you will have the confidence to sweep someone off of their feet or to re-invigorate your current relationship. You will be a much happier person, and that happiness will flood into your romantic life.

Heal Your Mind And Body – Research studies show a strong connection between the mind and body. People with a positive mentality control their stress and blood pressure better and demonstrate a stronger resiliency against disease. They also have effective coping skills when dealing with life’s maladies that make them resilient and well equipped to deal with stressful situations and come out on top, instead of succumbing to the pressure.

Can Be Applied To Any Situation – No matter the personal struggle, applicable affirmations can be created and applied.
You can achieve all of these things with positive thinking. It all starts with affirmations that are present, positive and personal. Never underestimate the power of positive words!

Today I Choose Freedom

Today I choose freedom, is what I told myself today, this afternoon after finding myself exhausted and drained from overthinking and replaying my mistakes in my head. I had made a comment to a friend and they were not in agreeance in what I stated, but also was highly offended. I made an unwanted attempt to apologize and clear the air. The rejection really hit home and my guilt, fear, pain and shame made a mess of my mind.

I thought of ways I could have reworded, responded, what could have gone right, what went wrong and what could go wrong in the future. I started creating scenarios in my mind and believing they had happened. This was a very unhealthy, exhausting and draining process that consumed all of me before I knew it. Then one day I decided I would not be controlled any longer, I am in control of my thoughts, they are NOT in control of me. How did I loose control? How and when did these thoughts consume me? More importantly, how do I get my life back?

In conversation with my siblings, we stumbled upon Brene Brown’s books on shame and vulnerability. This opened my mind to a brand new world, a world of freedom!!! Why was it freedom, because I learned the true success to freedom is to face your fears. Fears are your shame, guilt, insecurities etc. As Brene says, lean into the discomfort. When it is uncomfortable you are facing it, dealing with it and one day it will be a lesson learned and from that say I today I choose freedom.

Every time I invited myself to my own shame and pity party, I would lean into the horribly uncomfortable feeling. I would not victimize or shame myself, I would think of what truly is bothering me about the situation and pinpoint the problem. Now that you know what the real problem is you can start working on it. Healing and changing it.

Lean into the discomfort and say Today I Choose Freedom.
